چکیده
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that allows machines to communicate with each other without the need for human interaction. Usually, IoT devices are connected via network. A wide range network technologies required make concept operate successfully; as result, protocols at various layers used. One most extensively used layer routing Routing Protocol Low Power and Lossy Networks (RPL). primary components RPL trickle timer method. algorithm directly impacts time it takes control messages arrive. It has listen-only period, which causes load imbalance delays nodes in algorithm. By making method run dynamically based on hop count, this research proposed novel way dealing difficulties traditional algorithm, called Elastic Hop Count Trickle Timer Algorithm. Simulation experiments have been implemented using Contiki Cooja 3.0 simulator study performance employing dynamic approach. results proved outperforms e-trickle terms consumed power, convergence time, packet delivery ratio.

متن کاملA Survey of Anomaly Detection Approaches in Internet of Things
Internet of Things is an ever-growing network of heterogeneous and constraint nodes which are connected to each other and the Internet. Security plays an important role in such networks. Experience has proved that encryption and authentication are not enough for the security of networks and an Intrusion Detection System is required to detect and to prevent attacks from malicious nodes. In this ...
متن کاملMeasurements on Delay and Hop-count of the Internet
To nd out how big the Internet is, we measured the round-trip delays and hop-counts from a UCLA host computer to a randomly selected set of three thousand Internet hosts around the world. Our results show that over 90% of these hosts in continental US are within 18 hops from UCLA, and the round-trip delays to 90% of these hosts are less than 153ms. There seems no strong correlation between the ...
